Statement

I enjoy the practical process of print-making - carving out print blocks in lino and wood is a very satisfying process and allows for working in line and layers. There is always a magic in seeing a print for the first time.

I enjoy working on series of monoprints as well as editions. It feels like a very creative process adjusting colours and layers to make a 'family of prints'.

My subject matter is often based on local scenes and stories. Following a course at Citylit in London on working with Museums I have done work about the Red Barn Murder, the 1915 Zeppelin raid, and the wolf in the story of St Edmund.

I work at home as well as at the Gainsborough's House Print Workshop in Sudbury, and am currently chair of the Bury StEdmunds Art Society. I enjoy working with other artists.
